My IOS14 Home Screen & how I did it

Hi! Hello! Welcome! Or welcome back? I’m Jade, Jade Salty. A 17 year old girl living in Africa, writing a blog . . . Again. (sad I know)

My last blog post was on My top 11 Favorite Unique baby names, you can check that out Here

It’s been a while since I lost posted, but what better way to make a comeback than showing you all my IOS14 Home Screen? I know I’m late on the trend… but I really only achieved how I wanted it to look… last night. How long has the update been out again?

Anyways, here it is and how I did it!

Starting off with the photo slideshows, (they don’t have to be slideshows) I use an called ‘photowidget’ from the App Store.

I’m sure most of you know how to use the app, and all the apps I’m going to mention, but just in case you don’t. To use photowidget, open the app and press the giant plus (+) to create a new album. Select what photos you want on your Home Screen. (weather that be one and multiple)

Once you’ve selected the photos you want, exit the app, press and hold an empty space on your screen until all your apps start to jiggle and press the plus (+) on the upper right hand corner of your phone. Scroll done and select ‘photowidget’ and select the size widget you want. Add widget to your Home Screen, tap the widget and select the album you want and the duration you want each picture to stay there.

I really hope you understand that, because I’m not sure if I do.

Now on to the time/date/battery percentage widget. Download the ‘color widgets’ app from the App Store

Open the app and just scroll until you find which one you like, or just customize one to your taste!

Select the chosen widget and tap ‘set widget.’ Exit the app, press and hold on an empty space on your Home Screen until you enter jiggle mode. Once again, press the plus(+) on the upper right corner of your screen and scroll until you see ‘color widgets.’ Chose what size widget you want and add it to your Home Screen.

That’s it! Easy right?

Now onto making your apps all pretty and fancy! It’s really complicated and takes forever by the way!

Download the ‘shortcuts’ app from the App Store

Aswell as ‘app icon maker’ from the App Store, if you want to create your own color palette and icons.

It’s pretty simple to use, just open the app, tap ‘edit icons’ and you choose the icon, icon color and background color. Save to photos and then use shortcuts to set them as your app icon.

If you don’t feel like making your own icons, just go onto Pinterest and I’m sure you’ll find a whole bunch. If you like mine, here it is!

Just screenshot and crop, may take a while but you got to do what you gotta do.

Now. . . Shortcuts, the thing that literally takes forever! I suggest watching a video on this because I simply don’t think I’d be able to explain it properly. I’ll give it a try though, but you’re probably not going to understand.

> open app

> tap the plus (+) on the top right hand corner

> tap ‘add action’

> search for ‘open app’

> tap ‘open app’ and tap ‘choose’

> search the app you want to customize

> select the app and the press the three dots (…) in the upper right hand corner

> name the shortcut

> tap ‘add to home screen’

> name the app (e.g. Pinterest)

> tap the icon and select ‘choose photo’

> select the icon you made

> tap ‘add’ in the upper right hand corner

And you’re done!

Long process but not that difficult. I know that you can make custom ring tones and charging tones but that you’ll definitely have to look up.

And if you want the color scheme that I used but not the same icons, here you go!

I almost completely forgot about the motivation quote widget! Basically just download the ‘Motivation’ app from the App Store

Open the app, complete the little survey thing that they give you. You can choose or customize the theme, and then just exit the app, enter jiggle mode, tap the plus (+) on the upper right hand corner of the Home Screen. Scroll down until you see ‘Motivation’ select what size widget you want and done!

There’s also ‘widgetsmith’ that a lot of people use but it got really glitchy at one point, so I just found alternatives (there’s a lot)

And that’s a wrap! I think. I get all my wall papers from Pinterest (mine is just plain white) but you can obviously find a lot more interesting ones!

I really hope you enjoyed this post and If you find inspiration from this and customize your Home Screen, send me a screenshot!

Thank you if you made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade.

If your dreams don’t scare you, they are to small.

My Top 11 Favorite, Unique baby names In 2020

Hi! Hello! Welcome! Or welcome back? I’m Jade, Jade Salty, a seventeen year old girl in Africa writing a blog. . . Again.

My last blog was on Podcasts and Albums that I’ve been listening to, and keeping me sane during quarantine. (Check that out Here!) I’ve posted a couple blogs about baby names, Baby Girl names of 2020 and Baby boy names of 2020 which were both great, but very formal. With popularity scales, pronunciation, the complete history behind every name… and middle name. It took forever to write and find all the information, it was fun though. So I’m doing it again… just not so intense.

Although I’m very far away from having my own children, I mean I’m only seventeen and can’t remember the last time I actually spoke to a boy. But quarantine has got me thinking about what I would name my child if I were to have one… which I’m not! So here’s a list of my 11 favorite names for girls and boys, even though a name really doesn’t have a gender!

1. Kelaya :- keh-lay-ha – typically a female name meaning ‘Beautiful lady’

2. Ilaria :- ih-leh-riy-ah – typically a female name meaning ‘joyful’

3. Asteria :- aa-st-riy-aa – typically a female name meaning ‘Goddess of Dreams and Astrology.’

4. Antheia :- ant-dh-iyaa – typically a female name meaning ‘Goddess of Gardens and Flowers.’

5. Hemera :- hehm-eh-rah – typically a female name meaning ‘Goddess of the day.’

6. Achlys – ahch-lahz – personally I think it’s a Unisex name but is typically female meaning ‘Goddess of Misfit’ or ‘Darkness.’

7. Allerick :- aeh-erih-k – typically a male name (and also from the Vampire Diarie, except… it’s Alaric), meaning ‘all powerful’ or ‘ruler of all.’

8. Sorin :- sah-ryn – Typically a male name, although I think it’s unisex, meaning ‘Sun’

9. Aldrich :- awl-drich – typically a male name, meaning ‘Noble Ruler.’

10. Eliseo :- eh-liy-zeh-ow – Typically a male name, meaning ‘God Is My Salvation.’

11. Kaven :- kayv-han – Typically a Male name, meaning ‘Top of the Mountain.’

And that’s a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and if you’re having a baby anytime soon while this pandemic is still going on, I really hope very thing goes well and congratulations!

Thank you if you’ve made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade

Be enough for yourself first, the rest of the word can wait.

Podcasts & Albums that have kept me sane during quarantine. . . Sort of

Hi! Hello! Welcom! Or welcome back? I’m Jade, Jade Salty. And here I am, a seventeen year old girl writing a blog. . . Again.

My last blog post was on To do’s During Quarantine. So. . . Here’s some podcasts and albums that have kept me going while stuck at home with my family. . . Hopefully not for much longer though! I’m dying to step outside and party it up with my mates!

-Podcasts

So, if you’re like me and use an Android. . . Unfortunately. You don’t have access to Apple Podcasts, which is were each and every Podcast ever posted, lives. You need an Alternative and if you’re like me even more, you don’t have access to Spotify either because of where you live. . . Woo how I love living in a Africa!

I searched high and low for an alternative, downloaded every app I though would work, and hated them all. Until I found Google Podcasts, I’m still not 100% certain of it because it’s a little hard to use but it’s the closest thing to apple podcasts I could find and seems to have the same contents. So if you’re an Android user for the time being like me, give it a go and let me know!

So there’s about a million different Catagories of podcasts to listen to, one of my Favorites is comedy. Perfect to listen to at night when you’re a little spooked after watching a horror. . Which is what I do almost every day. (Yes I’m a horror fanatic, but get scared after watching them!) My favorites are:

Views: With David Dobrik And Jason Nash

It makes me giggle every time I listen and if you Watch and enjoy David’s Vlogs on YouTube, there’s no doubt you’ll enjoy his podcast too. However, if you are on the younger side, be advised because there is a bit of muture content!

Zane and Heath : Unfiltered

More of the Vlog Squad, but hey, they’re my Favorite! Unfiltered, like Views, always makes me giggle and I highly, highly recommend giving it a little listen!

My Favorite Murder

Now, I know how it looks! ‘My favorite Murder?’ How can that be a comedy podcast? But listen up, they talk murders, but they through a little humor in there. It’s not as gory and Insensetive as it sounds, it makes listening to True crime a lot easier and I lot lighter. However, Karen and Georgia do through out a lot of F-Bombs and there is, obviously, a lot of muture content. So listen at your own risk!

Speaking of True Crime, that brings us to our next catagory, and honestly my favorite. It’s educational to a lot of women, and men, out there to be aware, be scared and always be on the look out. Because, you never know who’s watching.

Crime Junkie

Now if you say you’re an avid podcast listener and haven’t heard of crime junkie, you’re not an avid podcast listener. They’re everywhere, everyone talks about them because they are truly the best at what they do. Everything Behind a Murder, a Murderer, a sexual assualt

Monster

Monster, A paracast original. Is a 3 part series on different Seriel Killers, they’re histories, what drove them to commit crimes, they’re families and basically they’re whole life stories. All the stories are told really well and even contains interviews with those that survived or even the victims families. Again, highly recommend.

And now, the miscellaneous Podcasts. The ones that fit into a category but I’m to lazy to actually look up what the catagory is called. So it really just consists of Sci-fi, Horror, Social. . . Things?

Supernatural: With Ashley Flowers

Supernatural, the Sci-fi, Horror thing I was talking about. Basically consists of stories that can’t be explained, What people think are supernatural encounters, or encounters with life beyond earth. . . Aka, Aliens! It stuns me sometimes, because truly, these stories can’t be explained. The host is Ashley Flowers, who is also the Host of Crime Junkie. So you know, it’s told really well.

What We Said

I’m not an Avid listener of What we Said, only because it consists of Interviews with celebrities and youtubers on the occasion and honestly, I couldn’t give a rats ass about celebrities and they’re lives. But, Chelsey and Jaci do do quite a bit of other things, like reading subcribers stories, drama, Q&As with their Husbands and so on, which is what I find interesting. So give it a go and let me know!

And that’d a wrap on the Podcasts that I’ve been listening to during the Last 2 months. Not much but it keeps me going, if you come across or know of any podcasts that you think I’d enjoy, please contact me! I’d be forever grateful!

Now, onto the Albums and Songs I’ve been mainly listening too. Obviously not all the music otherwise we’d be here forever but hopefully this will introduce you to knew artists and sings.

-Full Albums I Listen to

  • Harry styles – Fine Line
  • Panic! At the Disco – Pray for the Wicked
  • Panic! At the Disco – Death of a Bachelor
  • 5 Seconds of Summer – Youngblood
  • 5 Seconds Of Summer – Calm
  • Olivia O’Brien – Results of My poor Judgment
  • OneRepublic – Human
  • Kodaline – Politics of Living
  • James Bay – Chaos and The Calm
  • Lewis Capaldi – divenely uninspired to a hellish extent
  • Dean Lewis – a Place We Knew
  • Dean Lewis – Same kind of Different
  • Machine Gun Kelly- Hotel Diablo
  • YUNGBLUD – The Underrated Youth
  • Lennon Stella – Three. Two. One
  • Lennon Stella – Love,Me
  • My Chemical Romance – the Black Parade

– Individual Artists I Listen to on occasion

  • Noah Cyrus
  • Billie eilish
  • Miley Cyrus
  • Bazzi
  • Lee Brice
  • Jeremy Zucker
  • Lil Kapow
  • Tate McRae
  • Brett Young
  • Luke Combs
  • Spencer Sutherland
  • Queen
  • Megan Thee Stallion
  • Julia Michaels
  • Hailee Steinfield
  • Selena Gomez
  • Sam smith
  • Tyler, The creator

And that’s a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and that it helps you out a bit during these trying times.

Thank you if you’ve made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade

To do’s during quarantine to help you not go completely insane (because we’re all on the brink of it)

Hi! Hello! Welcome! Or welcome back? I’m Jade, Jade Salty, and here I am, a seventeen year old girl writing a blog post…. again.

My last blog post was on 30+ writing prompts to get you out of your writing rut (Check that out Here!)

We’re all currently in the same boat, stuck at home, doing absolutely nothing while looking for stuff to do. If you haven’t seen hundreds of these types of blog posts already then please do carry on reading what I’ve basically been doing the last 3 weeks to help me not go insane in what now feels like a tiny shoebox. (Aka, My house)

But anyone who needs to hear this, please don’t feel pressured to self improve and do something new everyday during this time. Some of you are burnt out, some of you are hurting. Use this time to rest and heal.

At Home Workout

As cliche as it sounds, working out does honestly help with severe boredom and keeping your mind off of what’s going on in the world. If you’re that person that absolutely hates working out (like me!) and is just looking for an easy routine to get you a little toned, this is the one for you. Please note that this is my routine and what works for me doesn’t have to work for you, please change up whatever you thinks tweaking and to what works best for you!

Also, do not, and I mean DO NOT! Forget to stretch before (and sometimes after) doing the workout. It really does help prevent you being super sore the next day!

Baking!

As contradictory as baking is to the previous thing, it’s a fantastic way to destress (and satisfy the midnight cravings). I’ve made a couple things these last couple of weeks, not all have worked out (which is totally okay!) but most of them have and most have been finished within 2 days! My favorite’s so far have been :

You can clearly see what my favorite dessert flavor is lol! But like seriously, try out the lemon squares. They were absolutely to die for and will definitely be making a reappearance in the near future! I also have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to baking and cooking if you want more ideas. (Check that out Here!)

Journaling & Writing

I know a lot of people are not huge on journaling and the whole ‘writing down your feelings’ type thing, but truly, it’s the best thing I could recommend during a time like this where you’re stuck with yourself and your thoughts 24/7

If i still haven’t convinced you, try and make it fun! Draw and decorate around your pages, that’s what makes me really get into it. I have a whole Pinterest Board on different themes and doodles for your journals (check that out Here!)

In the mean time, here’s a whole list on different topics to get your journaling juices going.

Another thing that you could do, that isn’t journaling but is still writing, is write a story. Hell! Even a book! I mean… you’ve got time. I’ve got a whole blog post on writing prompts that could help you which I linked at the beginning of this blog.

Movie Night & Series Bingeing

Bingeing a whole entire series during this quarantine is definitely something we’ve all already done. It’s a great way to destress and again, get our minds off of what’s going on. My favorite show at the moment is Tell me a story, I cannot stress on how good it is! Definitely recommend!

If you happen to have already watched Tell me a story, here’s a list on a whole bunch of others to binge. Please note! I have no idea if some of these are on Netflix because I don’t use it, so don’t come after me if they’re not!

Movie nights are probably something we’ve all already done during these last couple of weeks as-well, whether that be with your family, your quarantine buddies, or just by yourself. But get this, there’s this site that you can watch movies with other people and chat about it! (Check that out Here!) you can thank me later!

There is another site that you can actually see the people you’re watching with but for the life of me, I cannot remember what it’s called. If you do happen to know what it’s called, please let me know so I can link it for others!

However, in the meantime. Here’s a list of the movies I’ve been living on!

Reading! (Trust me, it’s not that boring!)

Reading is something you either hate, or love dearly. For me, I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. It’s a complicated relationship.

I’ll go months and months without reading and then find a book that takes my breathe away and I can’t put it down. Here’s my top 9 but please, please note that some of these have mature content and triggering content so read at your own risk!

Do something with your hair!

Now please, only pay attention to this one if you’ll be allowed to by either your parents, your employer or your school!

But come on, what a better time to possibly mess up your hair then when no ones gonna see you? Shave it completely off, dye it a funny color, chop it short and excessively perm it. Because in reality, it’s just hair, it’ll grow back. And I know a lot of us have a weird emotional attachment to our hair but like I said, it’ll grow back or just dye it back to your natural color. I have a whole Pinterest board for on hair inspiration so please do check it out and send me a picture of the results. (Whether it was a complete fail or you’ve found your new thing!)

Check out my Curl up & Dye Pinterest Board Here!

Other things to do that didn’t deserve a whole section on it 🙂

And that’s a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post and it helps you with your boredom during this awful time in the world! If you have any ideas that you’d like me to add, please let me know and I’ll be glad to add them.

Thank you if you’ve made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade

Also, Don’t forget to wash your hands and stay at home!

The most important work you’ll ever do, is within the walls of your own home.

30+ Writing Prompts to help you get out of your writing rut!

Hi! Hello! Welcome! Or welcome back? I’m Jade, Jade Salty, and here I am, a seventeen year old girl writing a blog post…. again.

My last blog post was on Clever, Unique Pinterest Board Names to help innovate your page!(Check that out Here!) I’ve decided to write this post in hopes of helping those that are in a writing rut or possibly just looking for inspiration to start a book or short story. Unique story lines can be hard to come up with so please do enjoy these 30 + writing prompts!

• You live in a world where reincarnation is common and expected. But it cannot happen unless your past life has faded from all living memory. Last time you were alive, you fell in love with an immortal who swore they would never forget you. You have just been Reincarnated.

• When people are born, they have a streak of hair the same color and texture as their soulmates natural hair. You are born with a blue streak that floats in the air and no matter what you do, you can’t get it to lay flat on your head.

• whenever you speak, people hear you speaking in their native language. Most people are surprised and delighted. The cashier at McDonalds that you’ve just talked to is horrified, “Nobody’s spoken that Language in thousands of years.”

• You finally build enough courage to talk to that cute someone you see on the bus everyday. Their face turns dark as they say, “You shouldn’t be able to see me.”

• After Gaining the ability to see everyone’s red strings of fate tying soulmates to each other, you realize your strong extends past the sky.

• Your best friend is in court, accused of committing nineteen murders. You’ve been called as a witness to defend them, you have the evidence you need to do it, because you’re the killer.

• A photographer and a sniper meet in a bar, neither is aware of the others occupation. They talk about ‘how to take the perfect shot.’

• The earth is flat and NASA is guarding a giant ice wall in Antarctica. Beyond that wall, there are more continents and oceans that only the Elite inhabit. A group of explorers sneak past the wall and discover the rest of the world.

• The phone rings, you look at the caller ID and recognize the number of your childhood home. You pick up the phone and recognize the voice. It’s you as a kid.

• When the police come to your door to announce the death of your husband. You refused to believe it, “That’s Impossible,” you say. “Unfortunately it’s the truth Miss,” the policeman responded. “That’s impossible,” you say again, “he’s in the kitchen making dinner.”

• One night at a bar you order the club special. as you down it, the world melts away, the bartender speaks, “What you see now is the real world, they pump poison into your veins to keep you complacent. I just gave you the antidote but it won’t last long. Will you join the resistance?”

• You have the ability to mentally hear the honest answer to any question just by looking at the person and thinking the question. It was all fun and games until you look in the mirror and ask a question you shouldn’t have.

• Every year, a man is sent into a cave as a sacrifice to the Gods. When you are sent in, you discover a Utopian society run by Gods where the ‘sacrifices’ are playing games and living life to the fullest.

• One day in class, you decide to scream something in your head to catch mind readers. As you do, you see your crush flinch.

• Two people who hate each other in real life are unaware that they’re best friends online.

• you’ve been sketching the face of your soulmate since you were old enough to pick up a pencil, the drawings become more and more realistic over the years as the day you meet comes closer.

• you were born blind, but somehow, sometimes you are able to see people in the darkness. You saw your grandmother for a whole day, four years ago. She died that night. You’re in your house and you can see every single person clearly, except for the visitor your dad has over.

• Your best friend from high school suddenly went missing at graduation. Years later they show up on your doorstep, except they are still 17 years old and more confused than you are.

• You have been completely color blind your whole life and only see in shades of grey. One day, you come across a stranger that appears in full color.

• You have a secret, for as long as you can remember you’ve been able to see a translucent number above everyone’s head. Most have a 0, few have 1 but your girlfriend has a 37. You witness a murder on the way to propose to your girlfriend and slowly watch as the assailants number changes from 0 to 1.

• When someone’s heart breaks, so does Pieces of the world. This creates Fissures, Valleys, and even cracks in the pavement. Tell me the story behind the Grand Canyon.

• Every person has A word that if spoken aloud in their presence, they immediately drop dead. One day while cleaning out your attic, you come across a book with every living persons name, address and death word.

• there’s an ATM that give you the exact amount of money you need to survive through the day, how you spend it is your choice. One day you’re given $70,000,000

• You wake up one morning after a night of drinking with a stranger in your bed, you can’t remember their name. Or how you met. Or why they’re dead.

• A curiosity shop opens up where you can rent Superpowers, magical Abilities, Mystical artifacts, and mad science technology. The catch? Payment is made in life, memories, etc

• The year is 2020, the first astronauts have landed on Mars and have discovered a cave with four human skeletons and four words carved into the wall.

• it wasn’t the leather jacket or dark eyes that sent chills down my spine. It was the sly smile that crept onto her face as she looked in my direction. No one is supposed to be able to see me.

• You find an empty notebook while cleaning out your attic and decide to start using it for your daily reminders, the first think you wright is, ‘don’t forget to feed the cat.’ The next morning you wake up to ‘Breaking news: scientists have received a message from a different planet via radio waves. Saying, ‘don’t forget to feed the cat.’

• Moments before a person dies, they say a phrase that predicts a future event. For the last 24 hours, all the dying people in the world have said a single phrase, ‘the ducks are coming.’

• your door bell rings, a stranger from an alternate universe stands there and says, ‘you’re my favorite book character and I know how your story ends. I want to change it.’

• Death gives you immortality with the plan that you’ll realize how awful it is and beg him to let you die. 50,000 years later, death is getting annoyed that you’re still living a fun and wonderful life.

• the world did not end in a bang or a whisper. Rather, one scream at a time.

-Dialogue prompts

• “I’m just doing what the fortune cookie said, who am I to stand in the way of fate?”

• “Can you hit them with your knife?” I asked politely. “I think the technical term is ‘stab’.” She said

• “What do you mean ‘you accidentally pickpocketed the president of the United States?’”

• “hold on, you died!” He said in shock, I replied with, “Well it didn’t stick.”

• “Damn right I’m pretty,” she said confidently. “I said petty,” he replied

• “I’m damn sick and tired of pretending I’m not evil.”

• “Don’t bleed on my floor.”

• “you are remarkably well behaved tonight. What did you do?”

• “you just killed five men! What do you have to say for yourself?” My guardian angel asked. “Oops,” I said.

• “the police are the least of your worries, intact, they may be your only hope.”

• “where’s your shoe?” She asked, I replied bluntly, “the giant muddy puddle down the street demanded a sacrifice.”

• “oh no!” He yelled. “Was that a I-messed-up-dinner-reservations oh no, or a I-forgot-to-lock-The-portal-gate oh no?” I asked

And that’s a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post and it helps you get out of your rut! If you do use one of these prompts or interpret one of them into a story, please send me the link to them. I’d love to read them!

Thank you if you’ve made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade.

All about me!

Hi! Hello! Welcome to my very first blog post, well, not necessarily my first. I started a blog years ago, probably at age twelve or so, I think the first and only blog I wrote was about a paragraph long. Really silly, I know. But any how, I’m now seventeen and starting another blog (hopefully this one goes better than the last) and I really, truly have no idea what I’m going to post, what I’m going to write about, or where this is going to lead me, but I suppose we’ll find out together.

I wanted my first blog post to be about me ,(can’t say this will be the last, I’m very conceited) to give my audience a better look into who I am as a person, what I like, dislike, what I’m good at, what I’m bad at and all that hogwash. I suppose I could wright a story but to make it easier for you to read, (and for me to wright) I’ve decided to just splurt out 20 facts about, none other than me!

1• My name is Jade Marie da silva Salthouse (mouthful, I know)

2• I come from Portuguese heritage (hence the ‘da Silva’ part) but I was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. In Africa.

3• I do not know a word of Portuguese, or any other language for that matter. I mean, I barely know how to speak English! (Which I’m sure you’ve noticed due to the very bad punctuation)

4• I find myself quite hilarious I must say, some would call my wit and side comments ‘unnecessary’ or possibly even ‘immature.’ I like it, so I say bye bye to the haters! (They’re irrelevant anyways)

5• I named this blog ‘The Salty Times’ because, a. It sounds like it could be a newspaper and b. It sounds like I’ll be talking about the ‘salty times’ in my past. My nickname is salty, so therefore ‘The Salty Times.’ You know, just to clarify.

6• I rather like art, drawing mostly. I think I’m pretty good at it too, possible good enough to one day become a tattoo artist. But I don’t know, we’ll see what the future holds.

7• I think I may just wright a blog post about art and drawing now, the process, where I get my inspiration, my stationary, all that Jazz. Please let me know if you would be interested in something like that!

8• I’m realizing now that I’m rather boring, because I have run out of things to wright about myself. Or maybe I just don’t know myself well enough. I’ll continue however, I’ll pull something out of my brain that has to do with myself.

9• My absolute favorite food is Chicken stir fry! I could live on that stuff, only if my dad makes it though. It’s not the same when someone else makes it.

10• Get this, I’m a Portuguese that hates fish. Prawns? Gross. Calamari? Tasks like a shoe. Hake? Couldn’t think of anything worse. Crabs? (Yes, I know crabs aren’t fish. But they live in the ocean so shut up) they’re literally cooked alive! Cruel bastards! But, there’s this one Portuguese delicacy , pastéis de bacalhua. It’s cod fish, potatoes and garlic. Now that, may just be better than chicken stir fry.

11• I’m a couch potato, well I’d like to be a couch potato anyways. My happy place is on the couch, with a romance movie playing, sobbing my eyes out. Sounds sad, but makes me happy.

12• My favorite tv show of all time is 9-1-1 on Fox, it’s your basic fire fighter show but the story behind all the characters is just phenomenal! The attractive men help as well I suppose.

13• I’m a sucker for graphic design, any design for that matter, but mostly graphic. I’m sure you’ll see some of my graphics because I plan on designing everything for this blog.

14• I’m a feminist at heart. I’m so for equal rights, not just for women, but for men, people of colour, the lgbtq+ community and literally everyone else on the planet.

15• I really have no clue why, but I have an obsession with pregnancy and babies, mostly baby names. It’s just such a beautiful thing, getting to grow and name a human. I’m planning on making my next two blog posts about my favorite, unusual baby names (even though I’m very far from having a baby, i mean, in only seventeen)

16• my favorite animal and pet to have, is a snake. (No, I’m not a psychopath) I have no idea why, I used to be terrified but now I find them beautiful, Majestic and just damn right, amazing.

17• My two all time favorite movies are 2:22 and The Age Of Adaline. I absolutely LOVE these movies, could watch them on repeat forever.

18• I’m technically a high school drop out, Just finished my O levels and decided not to go back. Couldn’t be bothered to do my AS and A level exams when I know they won’t do anything for my future

19• I’m hoping that by the end of 2020, I’m not living in Zimbabwe. Either in the Uk or possibly Canada (my dream place to live) because Zimbabwe is going no where but down hill, possibly watch out for a blog all about this place?

20• Finally! The last one! I’m a very quite, shy person. It takes a lot for me to be friendly with someone and actually have a conversation with them that isn’t super awkward and weird. I guess it has a lot to do with anxiety and self consciousness, like, what is this person going to think of me if I expose my whole self to them right now?

Well that ended on a dark note, but thank goodness that’s done! I’ve written this over a 3 day period, I really don’t know myself at all. I really do hope you Guys enjoyed this and come back for more! I promise (and hope) that it’s only going to get better from here, my writing technique, my grammar and punctuation as well as the topics I wright about.

I don’t necessarily have a schedule for when I’ll be posting but please let me know what day, or days you want me to post. For the moment, I’m just going to post when I finish a blog, maybe a day, maybe a week, hell, maybe a month. (I promise I won’t post once a month, that was sarcasm)

Thank you if you’ve made it this far and hope to see you in the next one, Jade

and here you are living despite it all
